sweet serendipity

I'm a southern girl at heart, living the greatest city in new england. I love books, sweet tea, photography, and fashion. i'm a lover not a fighter.
i believe that it is life, moreso than death that has no limits.

i love letters. of the handwritten, heart felt kind. i have boxes of them, from people who mean the world to me.

send me one, please?

get at me boston.

get at me boston.

oh, oh, oh, i’m so happy i can barely breathe…

i moved into the house in boston yesterday, and have spent the past 36 hours or so in awe of my life. i am living in one of the greatest cities in the country, working for a fantastic organization, and having the ability to truly “discover myself”, in the least hokey way possible. It feels so weird to be living on my own, different than starting college did because i don’t have school work or rowing to do.

i am completely free in my spare time, to hop on the t, and wander around the boston public library, if i so choose (and yes yes yes yes i choose). i can sit in the glorious sunshine reading my new books, and watching cute street performers play the saxaphone for three and a half hours, wishing desperately that i had brought my camera to capture the beauty of the area around me. i can eat whatever i want- which is stimulating some extreme creativity in my culinary designs. i love to cook, and i love to eat good food :). i feel so blessed, and so blissfully happy to be doing what i am doing. working for an exceptional charity on one hand, being surrounded by beautiful clothes on the other, and being immersed in this extraordinary city as a wonderful, absolute gift of a cherry on top.

i am so happy with the life i designed for myself this summer. the only thing that would make it better would be if my family and friends were not quite so far away, so that i could share my happiness with them.

smile, smile, smile on :)

And this I believe: that the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual. This is what I am and what I am about.
